New Grab Rails for John Blais' Mighty Pearson
John Blais Stopped by today on his way home from Woodbridge to Hampton. Okay, so it was quite a ways out of the way... What a delight it was to finally put a face to him and Bev and actually meet them. Charming and delightful people, I'm looking forward to their return to pick up the rails so we can have a chance to talk and have dinner or something.
Little did he know, he was about to face one of the longest, seemingly unending drives of his life. That would be, driving the length of the Eastern shore of Virginia. Everyone says that drive from Salisbury to Cape Charles, is one of the longest drives they've ever taken. It's not that terribly long in miles really. But, the marginal road quality, 55 mph and a town with a stoplight every ten miles makes it seem as if it will never end.
It's very likely I knocked these rails off before John left the eastern shore. The drum sanding and some router work are left, I'll do that in between stints on the hard dodger. Chances are, John won't be making any special trips to pick up those rails next week.
