For this project, I'm using all scrap wood. In another life, I had these two sets of nesting tables as end tables. They were made of a light hardwood that appears to be ash. Nice table tops, but the screw in legs all broke out easily. Especially with an 8 yr old Sean around to bang into, climb on and tip them over. So, for the longest time, I've been keeping these table tops, waiting for the right project to use them on. This project is perfect. The chair seats, arms and back will be of the hardwood. The legs/rockers will be Pine.
Someone was very happily playing with the foot stool from the adult rocker. Then, someone else heard me say I was going to get the camera and take a picture of this delightful scene and somoeone else horned in on the little boy´s action. (Someone, is a camera hog) So, the little boy ends up crying because once again, he is not allowed to play by himself and do as he would like to do.
